On-call pediatric surgeons are always ready for a consult with your child, in the evening, at night, on weekends and holidays. You can seek help from our clinic 7 days a week, 24 hours a day if your child is experiencing abdominal pain, is suspected to have acute appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, an injury to the internal organs, a strangulated hernia, swelling of the scrotum, etc. We also provide round-the-clock care for pediatric care for trauma (lacerations, bruises and burns).

WHEN IS CARE FROM A PEDIATRIC SURGEON NECESSARY?
In cases of "acute abdomen" (inflammation of the appendix, peritonitis, adhesional obstruction of the intestine, a strangulated inguinal hernia, etc.);

The wide variety of and round-the-clock access to diagnostic equipment (ultrasound, CT, MRI) and the possibilities of EMC's laboratory, where express tests for the majority of infections are performed in an hour, allow physicians to make a diagnosis as quickly as possible and immediately initiate treatment.
Pediatric surgeries are mostly conducted by laparoscopic or thoracoscopic methods with minimal incisions (1-2 cm) and minimal tissue damage. This technology enables significant reduction of pain and of the period of recovery after surgery. To provide the most favourable course of the post-surgery recovery period, a pediatric surgeon can give a referral to massage, prophylaxis and treatment physiotherapy procedures, therapeutic physical training.
Intensive care ward, part of the therapy within the Department of Pediatric Surgery is equipped with high-tech equipment. It has a 24-hour monitoring system; a special nurse constantly monitors the state of young patients. In case of the deterioration the pediatric surgeon will provide the necessary assistance.
