EDC improves the standard of service

At the European Dental Center (EDC) the management is conducting a series of unique lectures called "Regarding the Issue of Service" aimed at raising the quality of service given to patients.

The series includes several lectures and training sessions, one of which was held in April and was about improving the standards of the quality of service given to patients. The head of the EDC Peridontal Department, the surgeon and peridontist Natalia ROMANENKO gave a lecture in which she described the standards of service in detail, as well as the possible situations of communication between staff and doctors at the Center and the patients: beginning with the welcome at reception, the appearance of staff, patient support in the clinic (including compiling support documentation) and also ensuring the most comfortable treatment possible - both physiologically as well as at a psycho-emotional level.

In her presentation Doctor Romanenko highlighted the need to inform patients and give them a detailed description of all medical procedures being carried out or planned to be carried out by the doctor and especially those procedures that are carried out using new technology, materials and treatment methods (such as innovative methods of treating peridontal diseases or dental implant methods etc.).

Special attention was paid to the rules of communication between doctors and their assistants and patients and also the ethics of communication and interaction between medical and administrative personnel.

The theme of Doctor Romanenko’s presentation roused a great deal of interest among the participants of the course and the managers of the administrative subdivisions of the EMC Company Group. It also prompted further discussion and open debating of the issues raised during the lecture.

It is planned that the series will continue in June.
