Your first visit
When planning the visit to a doctor you need to dial +7 (495) 933 66 55 and schedule an appointment. I f you are unsure about a specialist you need to see, you should see General Practitioner first for a full check-up and further referral.
When planning a first visit to EMC, please make sure you have your ID or insurance card.
We are kindly asking you to arrive for the first visit to EMC 15 minutes prior to your appointment to make all necessary arrangements, including registration procedure and singing an agreement with EMC on healthcare services. After you have registered at the Reception, doctor’s assistant will take you to your doctor’s office.
We would appreciate if you could arrive at EMC 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment as a sign of respect to other patients.
Cancellation policy: We kindly ask you to advise us if you have to cancel your appointment.
Billing and insurance
Medical services can be paid by cash or credit cards: American Express, Master Card, Visa and Maestro. EMC cooperates with the leading Russian and foreign insurance companies. For further information please contact the Reception or call customer service at +7 (495) 933 66 43
Emergency
Call +7 (495) 933 66 45. Our specialists provide office visits, house-calls and emergency care 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Hospitalization
In case of surgical intervention EMC takes care of all necessary arrangements, to ensure smoothness of the procedure and for your comfortable accommodation.
In case of scheduled hospitalization
1. Doctor’s assistant will schedule the date and time of the surgery.
2. Doctor’s assistant will give you the detailed information on all medical examinations, required as a part of your pre-surgery checkup.
You will also meet the anesthesiologist to discuss methods of anesthesia, used at EMC.
3. You are most welcome to ask questions about your surgery, its duration, rehabilitation period, etc. You will also have to sign the Consent Form on surgery and anesthesia.
4. If you are paying for the surgery yourself, the doctor’s assistant will give a rough cost estimate, explaining all services, rendered by Inpatient Department. We will ask for a deposit. We will pay money back if your final bill is less than the deposit you have granted. If the final cost is higher you will have to pay an outstanding balance. If you have insurance policy, the doctor’s assistant will contact your insurance company to confirm your coverage.
5. Discharge is twice a day: morning discharge at noon, afternoon discharge at 6 p.m. If you are discharged in the afternoon you will be additionally charged for half a day. If you are discharged after 6 p.m. you will be charged for a full day.
6. A t the I n-Patient Department you will be offered a variety of healthy and delicious meals (four meals daily), tea, coffee and soft drinks.
7. The in-patients are provided with hospital gowns, slippers and toilet sets. The wards are equipped with TV and DVD player, WI-FI point.
8. Alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited in the wards.
In case of urgent hospitalization:
1. You will receive the first aid in any case.
2. However, if you do not have insurance, at the time of hospitalization you or your family members will be asked to grant a deposit.
3. If you are insured, the doctor’s assistant will contact your Insurance Company to confirm the payment. If, for some reason, we get no confirmation of payment you will be asked for a deposit, which will be returned to you after the matter has been settled with the Insurance Company.
Medical attendance
Our hospital offers home nursing services that include one doctor’s visit and three nurse visits to patients at their homes daily for supervision and medical manipulations. This service is rendered only upon agreement with the doctor in charge if home stay is safe and enables better recovery.
