In 2015, specialists from the Clinic of Reproductive and Prenatal Medicine performed 800 new IVF cycles and 368 transfers of cryopreserved embryos.

Yulia Voznesenskaya, reproductive gynecologist and head of the Clinic of Reproductive and Prenatal Medicine, discusses the number of IVF cycles performed at EMC in 2015, and the innovative technologies implemented.

In 2015, specialists from the Clinic of Reproductive and Prenatal Medicine performed 800 new IVF cycles and 368 transfers of cryopreserved embryos.

Regarding the cyroprotocols: The pregnancy rate was 52% for transfer of one embryo and with two embryos 61%, which is quite a high rate. For example, the average pregnancy rate in Russia is 32-34%. This proves that taking an individual, non-formulaic approach to each patient makes a big difference.

In 2015, our reproductive specialists, embryologists and gynecologists actively developed our  fertility program for patients with oncologic illnesses. We performed two ovarian puncture procedures through the anterior abdominal wall, a procedure very rarely done in IVF centers. At EMC we also work with the following schedule: A patient may begin ovarian stimulation in her city and then come to us 1-2 days before the puncture. This allows many women to achieve excellent results and save money at the same time.

Last year we also successfully conducted ovulation stimulation using the Shanghai and Japanese Protocols and created our own independent bank of donor oocytes, donor sperm, and donor embryos.
