Cancer early detection program

For early detection of oncological diseases EMC is offering a special program of cancer screening and treatment. The check up is provided at EMC Inpatient Department.

Check up for men

• Blood testing: biochemistry, hormone screening, oncomarkers;
• Consultation with urologist, including ultrasound examination of small pelvis and retroperitoneum;
• Consultation with dermatologist, including epidermic  test;
• Body scan (CT – scan of chest and peritoneal cavity);*
• Consultation with a doctor, preceptor of the program on the results of the check up.

 
Check up for women

• Blood testing: biochemistry, hormone screening, oncomarkers;
• Consultation with gynecologist, including ultrasound examination of small pelvis;
• Cervical smear  for cytology;
• Consultation with dermatologist, including epidermic  test;
• Body scan (CT – scan of chest and peritoneal cavity);*
• Mammography (if not indicated for women over 30), ultrasound examination of mammary gland performed in women under 30;
• Ultrasound examination of thyroid gland;
• Consultation with a doctor (preceptor of the program ) on the results of the check up.

Fibergastroscopy and colonoscopy (performed under anesthesia)  is included in the check up for patients with genetic predisposition to cancer.

* if there is no indications for body scan MRI, ultrasound, or X-ray examinations are provided.
